MARK FARMER -Writer/Director/Producer/Rabbi Jacobs

Mark Farmer has never really wanted to be a jew for a day, but has often wanted to belong. This play is the result of almost three years of work and dreaming, and Mark is certain that this must be how bringing a new life into the world feels. Like childbirth – but without the blood. Or screaming. Or pain killers.

Mark hails from the East coast of Canada, and has lived across the country, hunting fossils in Alberta, getting soggy in Halifax, working in the House of Commons in Ottawa and watching the world revolve around him in the Centre of the Universe, Toronto. During daylight hours he works as a new media consultant with the Association of Canadian Advertisers. At night he is an aspiring musician as bassist and sometime singer with King of Town, and as the driving force and sole employee at Bird of Mouth Productions. And we use the word “employee” very loosely. Mark would like to thank everyone who helped make this play possible and curse those who stand in his way.
