TONY BABCOCK - Fred
Tony Babcock began acting on stage at the age of nine, and immediately
fell in love with performing. He appeared in more than twenty productions
including; "The Importance of Being Earnest " (Algernon), “A
Midsummer Night's Dream ”(Nick Bottom), “Lost In Yonkers ” (Arty),
and“Peter Pan ” (John Darling) to name a few. Tony trained
with the Theatre Complete Focus Program, Theatre 5 Acting School, and
The Fixtpoint Theatre Company. MARK FARMER - Rabbi Jacobs/Writer/Director/Producer
Mark Farmer has never really wanted to be a jew for a day, but has often wanted to belong. This play is the result of almost three years of work and dreaming, and Mark is certain that this must be how bringing a new life into the world feels. Like childbirth – but without the blood. Or screaming. Or pain killers. Mark hails from the East coast of Canada, and has lived across the country, hunting fossils in Alberta, getting soggy in Halifax, working in the House of Commons in Ottawa and watching the world revolve around him in the Centre of the Universe, Toronto. During daylight hours he works as a new media consultant with the Association of Canadian Advertisers. At night he is an aspiring musician as bassist and sometime singer with King of Town, and as the driving force and sole employee at Bird of Mouth Productions. And we use the word “employee” very loosely. Mark would like to thank everyone who helped make this play possible and curse those who stand in his way. MARK LOEB - Mr. Erdös
Mark has been acting and directing for close to forty years. During his career as an intermediate school teacher, he worked in community theatre groups in Brampton, Mississauga and Etobicoke, appearing in both musical and non-musical productions. More recently he has appeared with the choruses of Opera Ontario, Toronto Operetta Theatre, Opera Mississauga and Brampton Lyric Opera, and has also had roles in several independent movies, commercials and t.v. shows. His favourite roles include Tevye, in Fiddler on the Roof, Sancho, in Man of La Mancha and Fagin, in Oliver. TRISTAN BELL - Jason Roth
Tristan Bell is a young performer with a devil may care attitude. In his short career, he has appeared on SNL, The Late Show and as a stunt performer in the Paramount Hollywood Stunt Spectacular. Most interestingly, he was also Jesus in the short film Zombie Jesus which appeared at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Watch out for this young go getter, he's a mover AND a shaker. But more of a mover.
JOHN GAZEY - Peter Connelly
John’s stage credits include a variety of roles. Most recently he portrayed the character of Richard Wells in the 2007 Toronto Fringe Festival production of Speech! (WWPD? Theatre). ANNE SHEPHERD - Helen Connelly/Socialite/Liz Durkin
Anne has spent years honing her "signature" role as a vicious authority figure which can be viewed on YouTube in the Hunter Valentine music video "Typical". Alternatively she can be seen as a medical doctor flogging the H20 steam mop on the infomercial channel ( 21 for those are truly interested in the product). In her spare time she is a psychiatrist, hockey mum and feline afficionado. She recently appeared in the Royal Porcupine Production of "Terrorism" as a murderous mother-in-law. Have a nice day!
DAVID SUSZEK - Socialite/Mysterious Man
David has appeared in Summerworks ("The Seagull"), the Toronto Fringe ("Living With Rick"), as well as TV ("The Perfect Expert", Moc Docs) and a short film which is only available if you purchase it directly from the director. (No, it's not one of THOSE films.) He has also performed in various other productions, including a new translation of "Don Juan, the Trickster of Seville", and productions with Cabbagetown Theatre and The Nags Players. Other performances include clown turns in Pachinko and Bouffon style at various locations in town. When not acting, he likes to relax by punching heavy bags and lifting weights. He is pleased to be part of the Fringe for another season, and hopes you find your inner Jew as well. |
